Our Company

Luminous Chao is a visionary e-commerce development company. We build and manage e-commerce systems designed to bring sales (lots of them) to our partners.

A Wealth of Experience in Web Development

Our firm was founded in 1996 to develop Internet software and design web sites. Within a few years, we began to realize that e-commerce, if done right, could be very lucrative. So, in 1999, we developed a retail site of our own to serve as a prototype for a new type of business.

Building and maintaining our own e-commerce site allowed us to refine our knowledge of e-commerce. We already knew how to build quality web sites. Now we learned how to build sales.

We work closely with our distributors to stay up-to-the-minute on the latest products. We pay close attention to the needs of our customers, so our sites are fresh, fun, robust and, of course, user-friendly.

Pioneers in the Industry

Christopher Sharrer is the Internet guru with decades of experience in software development during gigs with companies such as Motorola, Principal Financial and Hyatt. He developed the software that keeps our web sites running smoothly. Shopping cart, shipping management, merchant account integration, accounting software bridges, inventory tracking – Chris has done it all.

Marcia Di Verde is the design and marketing expert. She knows web sites – why successful ones work (and how to design them), what it takes to draw traffic to sites and the nuances of marketing online. She works closely with our power partners to in order to better understand their products and to maximize product exposure and sales. Our sites really show off our partners' products with clear product images and professional designs that compliment the brand and bring increased on-line brand exposure.
